
Last week, the 5th grade Social Studies class played a matching game with cards to help us learn our vocabulary words. Students would find a word then have to find matching definition. They also are currently working on creating a state with a capital, water system (river/lake), vegetation, climate, and landscape region, coming up with some very creative ideas.




Mrs. McVey's third grade class had fun exploring magnets last week during Physical Science. The students’ used magnets, paper clips, and index cards to test whether a magnet's pull could go through paper or cardboard. They discovered magnets could move a paper clip through a chair, through the top of a desk, and two magnets could be used to move one another through a window.

Congratulations to the JH Volleyball team they took 2nd place at the Dak12 invite at Dakota Valley last Saturday!

Mr. Fodness' 7th grade class is participating in a variety of lifetime activities this year. This activity is "Can Jam"; the object of the game is to hit the can or have your partner tip your frisbee into the can. "Can Jam" is an affordable activity a family can play at home.





The LHS band got 5th place out of 12 bands at the Youth in Music competition in Minneapolis. Great job!!!

Worthing Elementary students celebrated a successful 1st Annual Harvest Festival! Thank you, to Mrs. Raehsler for creating and organizing this event. Thank you, also, to Ground Works-Midwest for your support and for the volunteers that lead our student groups!

Girls tennis had their best state tournament to date! Many players were one win away from making the podium, the team finished in 9th place and Madison Johnson made the podium earning 4th place.



Dalton Plucker finishes tied for 8th and Caleb Wipf finishes tied for 29th at the State A Golf meet in Madison.



Mrs. Hinker's junior kindergarten class got a special surprise from Mrs. Shade and Mr. Hinker's math class this afternoon. They came and helped make a special holiday trail mix!





Mrs. Henry's third grade class has a class pet. A lionhead bunny named Lola. The students take turns caring for her.


Sixth grade science students made blueprint revisions yesterday and began constructing their rollercoasters today.
