Mr. Hinker and Mrs. Shade's high school life skills math class came and had an Easter egg hunt for the junior kindergarten class. The high schoolers numbered the eggs, so the class could hunt for a certain number on their egg. Due to the cold windy weather, they had the egg hunt inside 🙂 - they also made bunny ears together.
Tuesday, March 26th, Sarah VanLaeken, a life coach, presented a message to our 3rd and 4th grade students on the topics below at the Intermediate school gym.

Mrs. Shade and Mr. Hinker's high school math class played St Patrick's Day bingo and helped Mrs. Hinker's JrK class with math centers. They also brought delicious green Rice Krispie treats!

As part of “Music in our Schools Month,” high school music students visited the 4th graders this morning. Students were invited to learn more about each instrument and had fun trying them out!
District third graders researched a problem of their choosing and created proposals for how they think it should be solved. They presented their proposals to their peers.
6th graders came to read to Lennox Elementary JrK and Kindergarteners for Dr. Seuss week.

Today the first graders in Mrs. Bauder's class started work on building their Lego models that they created last class period in Minecraft.
Mrs. Bauder's class is working on a STEAM activity using the engineering process to create a secret hideout. They will take these 3D models and use them to create a build in Minecraft in February.

Sandy Richter from the Sioux Falls Outdoor Campus visited Junior Kindergarten on Monday, November 20th. She talked to the kids about turkeys in their habitat. Evan Wollman is pictured dressed up as a turkey! Sandy read us about a book about turkeys and also helped us do a handprint turkey craft.
These students were "Caught Being Good" at Lennox Elementary! They received a pencil and will have their picture in the Lennox Independent! Keep being an example for the rest of our students on how to be safe, respectful and responsible.
Mrs. Temple's Early Childhood class went trick or treating in the Elementary office on Halloween. Students practiced using their words and manners talking to office staff.
