3-1-24 - Weekly Update for Lennox JH and HS
Good afternoon Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:
SENIORS and Senior Parents – The Senior class will have class meeting on Tuesday, March 5, at 11:30am to discuss the last few months of school, graduation, awards night, etc. Following that meeting parents will receive an email with all the updates. As the calendar now turns to March, Graduation is quickly closing in!! May 11 at 10am!!
We will have Saturday School on March 2, from, 9-11am at the High School for 7-12th students with 5 or more missing assignments.
HS Scheduling for 24-25 School Year – Students in grades 9-11 will begin signing up for classes on Wednesday, March 6, during SRB. Students in 8th grade will complete their sign-up after Spring Break.

Dual Credit Application Opens April 1st!
Students interested in dual credit (Next year Juniors and Seniors) should meet with Mr. Breske to discuss what courses are available as well as how it can benefit their future education
plans.
For any of the six South Dakota Board of Regents universities (BHSU, DSU, NSU, SDSMT, SDSU, or USD), students must be a high school junior or senior. Seniors must rank in the upper half of their class; OR have a GPA of 3.25 or higher; OR score 21 or higher on the ACT. Juniors must rank in the upper third of their class; OR have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; OR score 24 or higher on the ACT.
To enroll in math and English courses, ACT subtest score requirements must be met, or Accuplacer scores may be used.
If students are interested in taking a dual credit course from one of the four South Dakota technical colleges (LATC, MTC, STC, or WDTC) they must meet the specific program enrollment requirements of the course they are taking. The dual credit contact at that institution can answer questions on eligibility.
FAFSA
Senior parents! The FAFSA application is now open! FAFSA is is Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is often required by many colleges and tech schools to help fund your education. It is generally a good idea to get this completed in December but the new application just got revamped and opened this month. https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
