Good afternoon Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:

Senior Cap and Gown Ordering – See page 3 – October 31 deadline – delivery prices increase on Nov.1

Sophomore Class Ring Ordering – See page3 – October 31- deadline – delivery prices increase on Nov. 1

Early Dismissal on Wednesday, November 27.  No School on November 28 and 29.

JA Inspire

8^th grade students will be attending the JA Inspire event at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on November 19^th from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.  JA Inspire is more than a career fair. It brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch middle school students into their future - high school, postsecondary education, and careers beyond. The program consists of three segments: (1) pre-event career-oriented sessions (led by Mr. Sattler); (2) the JA Inspire event, and (3) a post-event reflection.

Lennox HS Student Council

The Lennox Student Council is hosting a Stuff the Turkey event before the holiday season from November 11th-25th for the local Lennox Food Pantry. Students can bring their food donations to their specified grade level classrooms and place in their decorated turkey box. (Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors). The winning class will win a Poppy's Popcorn treat! Please make sure you check expiration dates! The Lennox Food Pantry is grateful for any donations but listed the following items as their most needed: taco seasoning packets, gravy packets, pudding cups, canned fruit, muffin mix packets, cereal, rice packets, noodle packets, and mashed potato mixes. Thank you in advance for supporting the Lennox Food Pantry and Happy Holidays! 

High School Winter Formal will be held on December 7th. Tickets can be purchased from Darci in the front office.  Tickets are $10 each. LHS parents: If you are upgrading your Christmas tree, the winter formal committee would like to take your old  one off  your hands.  Contact Mrs. Thill to make arrangements.

Veterans Day Program

Our annual Veterans Day Program at the JH-HS will be on Monday, November 11 at 2:30pm.  The public is welcome to attend.

Seniors – NCRC Exam - This year all Lennox High School Seniors will be taking the NCRC exam on Wednesday, November 27. Students will take 3 exams (Applied Math, Reading for Information, and Locating Information). The National Career Readiness Certificate ((National Career Readiness Certificate) is an industry-recognized, portable, evidence-based credential that certifies skills necessary for workplace success. Testing will start at 8:15 and be completed by Noon.

Seniors and Senior Parents! College application and scholarship season is right around the corner. Now is a great time to visit college campuses and narrow down the list of potential tech schools/universities. The free application period for South Dakota schools begins October 1^st and runs through November 30^th.I highly recommend beginning to look at scholarships through any business you utilize as a customer as well as my curated list here: https://tinyurl.com/2s3hj3hu

CNA Classes (Certified Nurse Assistant) will be offered again this spring semester for Juniors and Seniors planning to enter the Health Care field.  See Mr. Breske for more information.  Class size is limited to 8.  There are several prerequisites that need to be completed prior to classes starting so act early if you are interested.

NHS students:  We will be tying blankets in just a few weeks.  Now would be a great time to purchase fleece.  You will need 2 yards each of 2 coordinating colors/patterns.  If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Thill.
