ASVAB Test 2/19 @ 8:30 AM
The ASVAB is a valuable career exploration tool regardless of whether your child is considering military service. It assesses skills in areas like math, science, language, and problem-solving, providing insights into their strengths and potential career paths. Taking the ASVAB doesn't obligate students to join the military. It is also a way to get some test taking practice for things like the ACT, Accuplacer and other college/tech school entrance exams. Contact Mr. Breske to sign up
Next ACT Exam is April 5th (Deadline to register February 28th)
The ACT is a test used for scholarships and college admission. I recommend all students interested in further education past high school take the ACT. If interested, create an account and sign up here: www.act.org
Senior Scholarships and Financial Aid
Scholarship season is underway and Seniors should be applying to any and all opportunities that fit their educational plans/needs. Deadlines are coming up fast in February through April. Mr. Breske does have a scholarship document that lists a lot of the local scholarships but do not hesitate to look elsewhere for other opportunities.
Mr. Breske's Scholarship List: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1d0OkrCYlOkdSmoH_VoGrW-qusacV9yVGVjFUQNVQrew/edit?gid=1896628560#gid=1896628560
If your senior is planning on attending a college/tech school next year, filling out the FAFSA application is required for most schools! Both the student and parent must create an account to sign up. That application can be found here: https://studentaid.gov/
