Although Worthing Elementary had little permanent damage from the storm this weekend, there were big tree branches and part of a tree that needed to be cleaned up. We were blessed by many good Samaritan's who moved the large tree parts in the front of the school, cut down the damaged tree on the playground, and did the cleanup of many branches. Many volunteers had already done the work before our cleaning crew was able to get there! Thank you, thank you, Worthing Community!
Here are a few of the pictures I was able to take while some of the work was being done.
Playground
The playground with one of our helpers helping to assess the next step.
Thankful for this volunteer and his chainsaw!
This tree was in rough shape even after removing the fallen part.
It's cracked all of the way through, so the entire thing needs to come down!
Heavy lifting being done by more volunteers :)!
