The 8th grade math and algebra classes celebrated pi day (March 14) with pie and ice cream!
Students submitted pictures of themselves reading at home during Read Across America week. The pictures were put on top of the letters to help decorate the hallway at Lennox Elementary.
On Wednesday, March 9th, Officer Roman from the LPD came to Mr. DeWitt's 5th grade Health classes and talked about his job and the effects of using drugs and alcohol. Thank you, Officer Roman!
On Wednesday, March 9th, Sioux Falls Skyforce personnel and basketball players came to Lennox Elementary to give 3 free tickets to 4th grade students for their March 26th contest against Oklahoma. Players included Micah Potter and Trey Mourning. Thank you Skyforce!
Lennox National Honor Society students are completing a community service project - making tie blankets to give to various child services organizations in the area.
The junior kindergarten class joined Mr. Hinker and Mrs. Shade's math class and make a St. Patrick's Day trail mix. They also played St. Patrick's Day Bingo!
4th grade students in the school district are getting free Skyforce Tickets, provided by Direct Companies. The players delivered tickets to the Worthing 4th grade yesterday.
The Sunshine PK morning class met their challenge and filled a container with pom-poms for following expectations! They celebrated with PJ day.

Congratulations to the Lennox Quiz Bowl Team for a strong showing at their meet in Vermillion on Monday! The two teams scored 8th and 18th place. Well done!
Mrs. McVey's third grade class completed the Junior Achievement program "Our City." The students learned from JA Volunteer and City Librarian, Audrea Buller. In the final lesson, students learned about the different city zones and how cities plan for growth of new businesses.

Students in Ms. Brekke's music class are playing boomwhackers. They are pitched tubes that they play along to different songs to help students identify high, low, and medium pitches by playing along in an ensemble--and they’re just fun to play!
FFA officers were busy going around to classrooms teaching what FFA is and all about agriculture during FFA week!
In 6th grade science students play review games such as Headbands and Pop to study important vocabulary.

2nd grade celebrated TWOSDAY yesterday! (2-22-22) Students read stories about Penguin PAIRS, did math activities with 2 and 22, and enjoyed DOUBLE stuffed Oreo cookies while they wrote about what it will be like when they are 22.
